How we make the numbers
Plain answers to "where does this come from?" and "what does this mean?"
UGC Chart is independent. It is not made by Trybe and is not part of Trybe. All our numbers come from Trybe Discovery, the page where brands search for Trybe creators.
When we update
- Every Friday, we take a snapshot of Trybe Discovery.
- A person checks it.
- On Monday, we publish it as that week's list.
If a check fails, we do not publish that week.
Sales are ranges
Trybe shows each creator's sales from the last 30 days as a range, like $10K+, $50K+ or $300K+. We show the same range. It means "at least this much". It is not an exact number, and we never turn it into one.
The list covers creators with $10K+ in sales in the last 30 days.
What each column means
- Sales in 30 days
- The creator's sales range on Trybe for the last 30 days.
- Growing
- Small bars for up to 8 weeks. Each bar is that week's sales range. A taller bar means a higher range.
- Weeks growing
- How many weeks in a row the creator moved up. A week counts if they moved up a range, or stayed in their range and moved clearly higher in Trybe's sales order. A missed week starts the count over.
- Brands say yes
- Of the videos the creator sent to brands in the last 30 days, the percent that brands said yes to.
- Videos in 30 days
- How many videos the creator sent to brands in the last 30 days.
- Rank in category
- Where the creator sits in Trybe's sales order for their best category. This only covers the top 100 creators with $50K+ in sales who picked that category.
- Posting more or less
- How their "Videos in 30 days" count changed since last week.
Badges
- Steady seller
- Stayed in the same sales range for 4 weeks or more in a row.
- Breakout
- Moved up a sales range and stayed there for 2 weeks in a row. We wait 2 weeks so a one-week bump does not count.
- Big sales from few videos
- Has $50K+ in sales, but made fewer videos than most creators in the same range. We show this as two facts side by side: the sales range and the number of videos. We never divide one by the other.
Chart markers
- NEW
- First week on the list.
- RE
- Back on the list after being off it.
- ▲ and ▼
- Moved up or down a sales range since last week.
- Greatest Gainer
- The breakout creator who climbed the most ranges this week.
Small moves are ignored
Inside a sales range, Trybe's order moves around a little every day. So small moves do not count. A creator has to move up at least:
- 3 places, in the $150K+ ranges and above,
- 7 places, in the $100K+ range,
- 11 places, below $100K.
A published week never changes
Once we publish a week, we do not edit it. If we find a mistake, we publish a fixed copy as a new edition and write it down below.
Corrections
None yet.
What we do not show, and why
- Ad spend. We do not have it, so we do not show it.
- Exact sales, or sales per video. We only get ranges. Any exact number would be a guess.
- Sales growth in percent. Ranges are too rough for that.
- Which brands a creator works with. We cannot check it well enough yet.
We only show what we see on Trybe Discovery, and simple counts and changes from it. We do not guess.
Creators who want to be taken off
A creator can ask to be taken off UGC Chart by emailing hello@ugcchart.com. We take them off within 24 hours. After that, they are hidden from the site and left out of every weekly list.
Our own ad work
We also run an agency that makes ads for brands. Our agency is never ranked on the list.
